Going to Heaven?

Many have been asking about our church and how things have been going since the accusations came out about our former pastor, Jonathon Powell. Concerning him and the accusations, I would like to clearly state, first of all, that it is neither my job nor my purpose to pass a judgment of guilt or innocence - that is the duty of the justice system. We do not, by any means, condone such sins nor would we attempt to hide or cover it up. My job now, as Interim Pastor, is to see to the wellbeing of our church.

We have every intention of continuing the work of the ministry with God's help and the guidance of His Holy Spirit. We know and understand that there are many obstacles in our way and that our adversary, the devil, is seeking to destroy us. It will take work to rebuild our church's testimony in the community, but, as Nehemiah and his workers had, we have a mind to work.

There will be changes in the future concerning many facets of the ministry. What those changes will be exactly is yet to be determined. One of the changes will be concerning our Christian school. We will not be closing it, however, there will be a reduction in its extent due to a loss of both staff and students. We hope and pray that this is only temporary, as we strongly believe in providing a good, godly education for our children. We will be working to restore the school as soon as we can.

We may not know the future, but we know the One Who does know the future. We are trusting and following Him every step of the way. We know that we will be able to overcome any attack of the enemy with the help of our loving Savior.

I would like to personally invite anyone and everyone to come visit our church. We are looking forward to growing, and we would like to see you grow with us.

In Christ,
Pastor Josh Rivers
